You roll a d20 and add your Athletics skill and Strength modifier to the roll. If the total is higher than the Difficulty Check, you succeed. If it is lower, you fail.
- Difficulty Check 7 (Very Easy) 
- Climbing a knotted rope hanging from a sturdy branch. 
- Difficulty Check 12 (Easy) 
- Scaling a rocky hillside with intermittent footholds. 
- Difficulty Check 17 (Moderate) 
- Swimming against a strong current in a rushing river. 
- Difficulty Check 22 (Hard) 
- Climbing a sheer cliff face with only narrow ledges to grip onto. 
- Difficulty Check 27 (very Hard) 
- Scaling a towering waterfall, navigating slippery rocks and evading rushing water. 
- Difficulty Check 32 (Legendary) 
- Ascending a smooth, vertical surface of a towering fortress using only your hands and feet, with no visible footholds or handholds available.
